CAKE CARE
Our creations are packaged in a cake box and secured to a cake board usually 1 to 2 inches bigger than the cake itself. With most of our cakes, the lids of the boxes will not close due to the decorations e.g. floral arrangements, cake toppers or delicious treats piled on top. If you do wish to completely cover the cake (e.g. travelling a long distance or time with the cake) please contact us prior to pick up so we can organise something. Fees may apply.

Transporting
To ensure the safe travelling of our cakes, keep them on a flat sturdy surface. This can be either on a passenger's lap, the floor of the car, or in the boot if it is flat and secured. If there is a lot of room around the box of the cake, place either a towel or jumper around the base of the box to keep it from sliding around the floor. It is highly recommended to keep the air conditioning on cold whilst the cake is in transit in the car, especially on hot humid days.

Storing Before Enjoying
As our cakes are made of buttercream, they are best kept cool and refrigerated until the event where possible. Please do not leave your cake in any direct sunlight or heat. Cakes should be removed from the fridge 1 to 2 hours prior to consumption or just before putting on display (unless otherwise advised by us). This allows the cake to reach room temperature, which is the perfect temperature to enjoy your cake. If storing overnight in the fridge, wrap two layers of cling film around the box to keep odors from the fridge away from the cake.

Floral Arrangements
Cakes with floral arrangements are best eaten within 24 hours from collection as the flowers may wilt being out of water, especially if it is too hot. If you plan on collecting a cake more than a day in advance that has a floral arrangement, feel free to talk to the team about arranging for the flowers to be kept in water and placed on by yourself (with guidance from us) on the day of your event.

Leftovers
Once the cake has been cut, leftovers should be wrapped in cling film and/or placed in an airtight container. Preferably in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Some cakes that have certain fillings or icing may require the cake/leftovers to be stored in the refrigerator.
